"Liberty"

3/4/06

Liberty lives up to her name - nothing holds her back! She is by far one of the most biddable, honest companions and we are fortunate to have her. "Libby's" titles speak of her versatility and willingness to work.

As a puppy, Libby was easy to train and loved her jobs. Libby finished her UKC Grand Championship at 13 months of age and reigned as the #1 Weimaraner for the 2 years she was showing. She is also officially, the #1 Weimaraner for 2011!

At 1.5, Libby began her year off of showing. She easily earned her Retrieving Dog rating on her first attempt and completed her JH title while working with Dick Dunnuck of Shotgunfarm (www.shotgunfarm.com).

After her break, Libby returned to the ring to complete both her International and American Bench Championships in less than 5 weekends of showing. She has recently been awarded the highest honors in both Obedience and Conformation at the 2011 SMWC Specialty Show and finished her AKC Grand Championship with multiple Best of Breed wins!

She finished her Companion Dog title with style, taking High in Trial at the 2009 SMWC specialty show and winning her class the following day. She has been diligently training for her next titling class and has only a few kinks to work out (mostly due to her handler) before tackling her Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) title.

Libby is currently the star of her beginning Agility class, easily picking up on obsticals and handling cues. With more training and a bit of luck, we hope to begin Agility competition next year.

Afield, Liberty earned her Master Hunter in less than 1 year! In addition, Libby has earned her WCA Shooting Dog Excellent award - the highest Shooting Rating awarded - in the summer of 2011. She also has multiple AKC Field Placements under her belt. She is now retiring from field testing and competition and will be able to enjoy just being a casual hunting dog.
